The first two chapters give an overview on national accounts, with data on GDP, industrial production, and unemployment. Thereafter, this report focuses on tourism, retail, and e-commerce. Eventually, the last chapter illustrates data on the impact of COVID-19 on the entertainment and sport industry.
Italy's economy has been seriously impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a consequence of the rising number of cases in March 2020, the Italian government announced that the country was in lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus. Currently, measures are being eased and the country is on its way back to normality.
