This report presents statistics and facts on the economic, social, and political situation of the countries which are seeking to join the European Union over the coming years, namely Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye, and Ukraine, while Kosovo has been identified as a potential candidate. After an overview on the most important figures about the EU, the report includes economic data on the economies of the candidate countries, statistics on their sociodemographic indicators, and data from indexes measuring the quality of governance in these countries. The last chapter concludes with survey data on the public opinion in current EU members on future enlargement, as well as how citizens of candidate countries judge EU membership.
