This report contains information on the shortage of skilled workers in Germany. In Germany, there are certain sectors that are experiencing a severe labor shortage at the moment. A labor shortage is when the demand for workers exceeds the supply of those qualified and willing to do the job. A lack of qualified personnel and high employee turnover can cause instability for a company and thus impact their success. This report consists of six chapters which explore the labor market, apprenticeships and vocational training, unemployment, professions with a shortage of workers, open positions and turnover, and surveys and forecasts.
