This report provides data on government employment in Italy. After an overview on the characteristics of the workforce employed by the government, this report focuses on public administration. Among others, it shows the distribution of employees among the different sectors of the public administration. Thereafter, it shows data on the cost of employment in public administration (PA) and on the perception among Italian citizens of the services provided by the PA. Lastly, the fifth chapter reports information on the employees working remotely and the skills they acquired over the last year.
