The question in the survey was phrased as follows: "In addition to ARD, ZDF and the various other private broadcasters, there are also pay TV providers such as Sky or Kabel Deutschland, for which you have to pay a subscription for. Have you subscribed to Sky, Kabel Deutschland or any other such provider, or is this not the case?" (Original question in German: "Neben ARD und ZDF und den verschiedenen Privatsendern gibt es auch Pay-TV-Anbieter wie z.B. Sky oder Kabel Deutschland, die man extra abonnieren muss. Haben Sie Sky, Kabel Deutschland oder einen anderen solchen Anbieter abonniert, oder ist das nicht der Fall?")
