Multiple types of subscriptions per household were accepted.Â
Pay television subscribing households include those who use not only televisions but also other devices such as personal computers.
Since 2011, KISDI has tracked the cross-media usage of about 5,000 households and the members by means of household visits, interviews and self-reported written media diary on the media use patterns across 17 cities and provinces in South Korea.

According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2024, around ** percent of households stated that they paid for IPTV. Cable TV subscriptions have been decreasing every year, having fallen to ** percent. Satellite TV, on the other hand, was only paid for by a small share of households.
