Data is based on CAF's Urban Mobility Observatory, which had mobility evaluations for 29 cities in Latin America that were carried out in 2007 and 2014. 22 out of 29 cities were chosen to elaborate these estimates. More information on the methodology available .

This statistic presents the estimated number of deaths which could be averted by using only electric public transportation in selected cities in Latin America between 2017 and 2030. By 2030, an estimated of nearly deaths associated with air quality could be prevented in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, using exclusively electric public transport.
