This statistic shows the results of a survey on the frequency of perception of so-called "fake news" in Germany and Europe in 2018. On average, thirty seven percent of European respondents said that they encountered fake news or information which misrepresented reality every day or almost every day. In Germany, however, only twenty four percent of respondents said that they came across fake news every or almost every day.
