In 2024, women had a higher share of severe anxiety in all age groups in Sweden. Women aged 16 to 29 years had the highest share of sufferers with severe anxiety, which amounted to over ** percent. For both men and women, the share of people with severe anxiety was more prevalent among younger age groups.
