The view of people in the United States who support the statement that immigrants strengthen the country differed by party from 1994 to 2020. In 2020, ** percent of respondents who identified as Democrats believe immigrants strengthen the United States. In contrast, the share of Republicans was ** percent, a significantly larger difference than the ** percent for Republicans and ** percent for Democrats in 1994.
