This statistic was compiled using several releases of the publication.

Citation formats

During the period in consideration, Poland had the highest production volume of coal in each year. However, production has been declining since 2013, falling from 2.39 exajoules to 1.39 exajoules in 2023. Germany was the second largest producer of coal in Europe, and produced 0.82 exajoules in 2024. By comparison, the production of coal in the United Kingdom dropped to less than 5 petajoules in the most recent year.
