Figure were restated based on the latest edition of the report.
Coal production in the European Union amounted to roughly exajoules in 2024, a decrease of around percent in comparison to the previous year. During the period in consideration, figures presented a trend of decline, with a total production decrease of exajoules, and 2024 being the year with the lowest figure.
