Tamil Nadu accounted for the largest volume of tamarind production in India in fiscal year 2025. This figure stood at about 42 thousand metric tons. Kerala followed with Karnataka ranking third that same year. Total tamarind production in the country amounted to around 138 thousand metric tons.
