After returning to near-breakeven in 2023 (net loss of *** million U.S. dollars), Klarna's profitability remained elusive in both 2024 and 2025, posting full-year net losses of *** million and *** million U.S. dollars respectively. The worsening 2025 result largely reflects Klarna's accelerated investment in banking products - particularly its Fair Financing lending offering and the Klarna Card - following its NYSE listing in September 2025, with costs outpacing revenue as the company provisions upfront for expected credit losses while revenue is recognized over time.
