The source only fully reported GMV from 2019 onwards, until then, referring to "underlying sales". It, however, did not report this figure every quarter.
The figures have been collected from several publications. Figures prior to 2025 have been converted from SEK to USD.
Klarna's global gross merchandise volume or GMV continued to grow in 2025, increasing by over **billion USD between Q4 2023 and Q4 2025. GMV measures the value of the products sold through the Klarna platform, and is essentially the same as the company's sales value. From these sales, Klarna take commissions and merchants fees to make up their revenue stream. The Swedish BNPL provider has been looking at profitability for a while.
