Coffee is an important part of the Colombian manufacturing industry. This South American country is one of the largest producers in the world and the second-largest coffee producer in Latin America and the Caribbean. It has a coffee cultivated area of more than *** thousand hectares, and the departmentns of Huila, Antoquia, Tolima, and Cauca accounting for about ** percent of the total cultivation area. In 2022, there were 77 coffee manufacturing establishments in Colombia and payroll in the coffee production sector surpassed *** billion Colombian pesos.
