In 2023, a study found that nearly *** percent of adults drove under the influence of alcohol in Brazil. By age group, when asked whether they had driven after having consumed alcoholic beverages, around percent of respondents who affirmatively answered were aged between 35 and 44 years. Those between 25 and 34 years followed, with *** percent admitting to having driven under the influence of alcohol. Drink-driving was more common among men than women in Brazil.
