Respondents were asked whether they had consumed a certain amount of alcoholic beverages (an intake of four or more doses of alcoholic drinks for women, and five or more doses for men) on a single occasion during the last 30 days.
The survey was carried out in the capital city of each of the 26 Brazilian states, plus the Federal District of BrasÃlia.Â
