Brazilian respondents were asked whether they had consumed a certain amount of alcoholic beverages (an intake of **** or more doses of alcoholic drinks for women, and **** or more for men) on a single occasion during the last ** days. Adults with more years of formal education were more likely to binge drink than those with fewer education years. As of 2023, around ** percent of Brazilian adults who had a formal education of 12 years or more claimed to have drunk such amount of alcoholic beverages on a single occasion in the previous month.
