Original question: Psilocybin, the active ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms, has been illegal in the United States for more than 40 years. A recent study by researchers from New York University and Johns Hopkins University showed that a single treatment with Psilocybin reduced anxiety and depression in 80% of cancer patients.
