The most successful song entries in the Eurovision Song Contest, based on the total number of points, received under the voting system in place since 2016, is "Amar Pelos Dois". The song, performed by Salvador Sobral, represented Portugal at the 2017 edition, when it received a record breaking *** points. In second position follows Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra with their song Stefania who received a total of *** points from both the professional juries and the televote. The contest in 2016 introduced a new voting system, in which both the juries and the televoters in each country can award their seperate set of points, thus doubling the possible amount of points that can be received.Â
