The Medical Tourism Index was developed through a multi-year and multi-stakeholder approach, following eight methodological, statistical, and index construction steps. The MTI score is based on three main dimensions: destination environment, medical tourism industry, and the quality of facilities and services.
The 2020-2021 index covers 41 criteria, 46 destinations, and 3,030 respondents.
