Spain has some formulas of public-private collaboration in the health system, such as concerts held between regional health services and private centers, administrative mutualism and administrative concessions that include the management of health services.
Administrative mutualism is a mechanism for health coverage of officials through the following mutuals: MUFACE, MUGEJU and ISFAS.
The volume of premiums of the administrative mutualism in Spain increased timidly between 2011 and 2018. In 2019 the volume of this public-private partnership formula decreased to million euros, the second fall in the period under consideration.
