As of 2024, more than 6.4 million Italians lived abroad. In particular, the largest community of migrants was in Argentina, as this country was hosting around 990,000 Italian citizens. Germany and Brazil followed behind, while Switzerland had the fourth-largest Italian emigration population.Â
