As of 2018, car stereos were included in the survey. As of 2020, tape and CD players were merged into one category, and home stereo system was included in the survey.

In 2020, ** percent of Canadians used their mobile phones to listen to audiobooks, making this the most popular device, indicating an increase of usage of ** percent from 2018. Among audiobook listeners, tablets were also a popular choice, with ** percent of respondents listing a tablet as the device they use to access audiobooks.
