GBDVS 2019 was undertaken using an online methodology with a total of 35,746 interviews conducted with adults aged 16 and over who were resident in England, Scotland and Wales during 52 weekly survey waves.
'Tourism day visits' are defined as day visits not taken on a regular basis and located out of the participant's 'usual environment'. This distinguishes them from leisure day visits which include any excursions away from home including at least one leisure activity.
