This statistic shows the results of a survey regarding the interest in long-distance bus offers in Germany in 2014, by demographic criteria. Until January 1, 2013, long-distance bus lines were prohibited, as they were competition for railway transport. After the law was changed, these bus lines were allowed, even if railway lines for the routes covered already existed. Since then, the number of private long-distance bus companies in Germany has multiplied. Discernibly more than the average number of students were interested in and had already used long-distance buses in Germany.
