Transmission Entry Capacity (TEC) is a Connection and Use of System Code term that defines a generator's maximum allowed export capacity onto the transmission system. The TEC register provides a publicly available record of the existing allocation of Transmission Entry Capacity (TEC), the business it is allocated to and the site details.
The transmission entry capacity (TEC) of all power sources in the United Kingdom decreased by about 19,000 megawatts between 2010 and 2022. In the latter year, total TEC in the United Kingdom amounted to 64,325 megawatts.
