* Extrapolation based on data on production of water in the first to third quarter of 2018 as provided by the Federal Statistical Office and preliminary foreign trade data (January to November 2018).
For the years 2012 to 2017 calculations were based on population figures provided by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany .
Calculations for the year 2018 were based on population figures as estimated by the Federal Statistical Office (83 million persons; as of December 31, 2018).
After revision of the list of goods by the product statistics of the federal statistical office for reference period after January 2019 no separate product data was collected because specific products were not considered in this category anymore due to a change in food law.
