Calculations are based on population figures published by the Federal Statistical Office for December 31. Additionally, production and foreign trade data was used. Figures until 2018 are based on data from the Association of German Mineral Springs regarding spring water and wafg information from the Federal Statistical Office regarding bottled water, starting from January 1, 2019. Figures previously calculated by the wafg are therefore not comparable with earlier years.
