Citation formats

The electricity prices for households in Romania registered a slight increase from 2010 to 2022. The average electricity price for households peaked in the second semester of 2022, amounting to 34.11 eurocents per kWh. However, only a small part of the electrical energy generated in Romania was destined for household consumption in 2024, most of it being directed towards industry consumption. In comparison, the prices dropped in the first half of 2025, achieving 19.18 euro cents per kilowatt-hour.
