* The original survey question was worded as follows: "How trustworthy would you say [named energy supplier] is compared to other energy suppliers? By energy supplier, we mean the companies that people buy their electricity or gas from."
Base included all those responsible for paying energy bills who had mains electricity, knew their electricity supplier or, in the case of absense of an electricity supplier or if they did not know who their electricity supplier was, those who had mains gas and knew who their gas supplier was.
