The source also highlights that data is usually collected using a mixed-mode survey including online and face-to-face interviews. Due to contact restrictions amidst the coronavirus pandemic, data from Q1 2021 and Q2 2021 was only collected via online interviews, while Q2 2020 and Q3 2020 were partially conducted by telephone. In 2022, an online survey via online panels was combined with face-to-face and telephone interviews.

At the end of 2022, one out of four British consumers were planning on switching their energy supplier in the next three months, according to a survey. This represents a slight decrease from the previous quarter. Nevertheless, only ** percent of British consumers were dissatisfied with their energy supplier.
