Global oil consumption share 2010 & 2024, by country
In 2024, the United States remained the largest oil consuming country in the world. Despite a decline in oil demand between 2010 and 2024, the U.S. was still a greater consumer than China. The BRIC countries, which comprise Brazil, Russia, India and China, accounted for nearly ** percent of total global oil demand in 2024.
