This statistic shows the results of a survey among men and women in selected countries all over the world regarding their sense of security when walking alone at night. The survey was conducted in 2011. While 62 percent of surveyed women in the United States said they felt safe walking alone at night in their city or area, 89 percent of surveyed American men stated the same.
