In Hawaii, harvest continues throughout the year and production statistics are on a calendar year basis. In other states, harvest is seasonal and the production statistics year relates to the year in which the season begins. Data prior to 2021 have been taken from previous reports.
In 2025, over 34.45 million net tons of sugar cane for sugar and seed were produced in the United States. Production peaked at over 36 million net tons in 2000.
