In 2025, nearly of surveyed adults aged over 55 years in the United Kingdom who used a wearable device reported they would upgrade to a new device if it offered non-invasive glucose or blood pressure monitoring to enhance their wearable experience. This was also the most desired feature in the age groups 35 to 44 years and 45 to 54 years. The feature most likely to entice 25- to 34-year-olds to upgrade to a new wearable device was the ability to connect it with smart home devices, while those aged 18 to 24 years would most like enhanced data privacy and security measures.
