2021 France leisure activity participation rates by income level
Material and financial living conditions strongly depend on the income level of households in France. Among people declaring themselves below the poverty line in 2021, only 26 percent were able to engage in a leisure activity at least once a month during the past year, excluding lockdown periods. This rate was 37 percent for all respondents. The main reason for the lack of leisure activities among French people living below the poverty line was financial.
