This chart shows the opinion of the French on the reasons for inequalities between men and women in 2020. Almost half of the French then believed that it was because unpaid care, household chores, and parental responsibilities are unevenly shared between men and women. More than **** of the French also believed that gender inequalities were due to the fact that religion and culture do not treat women and men equally and that women and men have different employment opportunities.
