On September 3, 2025, Ryanair announced that it would not only maintain the closure of Jerez and Valladolid (announced in February of that year) during the winter 2025/2026 season, but that Santiago de Compostela, Tenerife North, and Vigo would also be added to the list. In the case of the Canary Islands airport, the Irish airline will cease operations from the start of the winter season, while at the Galician aerodrome there will be no flights from January 1, 2026. Additionally, it also announced a reduction in its offerings in Zaragoza, Santander, Asturias, and Vitoria. For the Aragonese capital, this translates into a loss of almost half compared to the seats currently offered. In Vitoria, however, they seem to have managed to come out more or less unscathed, as their winter offering is expected to be only * percent lower.
