In 2050, the countries and territories with the largest proportion of seniors in their population will be Asian countries and territories such as Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, as well as Southern European countries like Italy, Spain, Greece, and Portugal. All these countries and territories will have more than one-third of their population aged at least 65 years.
