This chart shows the distribution of referrals to the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA) in 2018, according to the sender. It can be seen that nearly half of the applicants were companies, groups, or associations.
The French Anti-Corruption Agency is a service under the supervision of the Ministries of Justice and Budget. It works in favor of transparency, modernization of economic life, and against corruption. To do this, it supports the competent authorities and concerned parties (courts, large companies, administrations, local authorities) in preventing and detecting acts such as corruption, influence peddling, embezzlement, illegal taking of interest, misappropriation of public funds, and favoritism.
