This statistic represents the proportion of French people aged between 11 and 24 in 1972 and 2022 who state that science brings more good than harm to humanity. The share of young people with a positive view has significantly decreased between the two generations. Science was favored by the majority of young people in 1972 compared to only one third 50 years later.
