As of December 2024, a total of ** percent of adults in the United States stated that K-12 schools should focus on teaching students how to appropriately use artificial intelligence (AI), a slight increase from ** percent in August 2023. Conversely, a greater share of adults in 2023 believed that schools should prevent students from using AI, at ** percent, compared to ** percent in 2024. However, ** percent of respondents were not sure how schools should handle advances in artificial intelligence, a small decrease from ** percent who shared this belief in 2023.
