As of May 27, 2021, ICU bed occupancy by COVID-19 patients only exceeded 30 percent in the Community of Madrid. With 31 percent of its ICU beds occupied by COVID-19 patients, the community had the highest hospital pressure in the country, about 16 percentage points above the national average.
