This statistic presents the percentage distribution of the adult population residing in selected European countries based on their trust or distrust in their country's public news services in 2017. The highest level of distrust in public television news services was recorded in Spain. Specifically, approximately ** percent of Spanish adults stated that they did not trust the news broadcast by TVE. On the opposite side are the public broadcasters in Sweden, the Netherlands, and France; all of them with a level of distrust among their adult population below ** percent.
