* IAP Revenue/Purchases: This metric captures the amount of revenue and purchases that users make within the app. This includes stereotypical in-app purchases, such as buying "gold" or "extra lives" in games, which are one-time purchases for game content. However, it also includes subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, The Wall St Journal, VPN tools, health and wellness service subscriptions, etc. However, this does not include subscriptions that users acquire outside the app (for example, on Netflix.com) or that do not go through Apple and Google. Thus, for example, when examining e-commerce apps like Amazon, Walmart, etc., we will not have visibility into the purchases they make within those apps.
