In 2024, Spanish households allocated more than 2.1 billion U.S. dollars to the purchase of olive oil. Of this amount, 1.152 billion U.S. dollars were spent on virgin olive oil, with extra virgin olive oil being the most demanded, with an investment close to 910 million U.S. dollars.
