Due to the census published by the INE, the data for 2013 were recalculated and, from that year onward, a new series begins that is not comparable with previous data.
The data for 2013 include from December 2012 to November 2013.

In 2023, Spanish households consumed approximately **** million kilograms of mussels. This represented a decrease of about two million compared to the intake of this type of seafood recorded in the country during the previous year.
