This statistic presents the evolution of the number of books published in Spain between 1999 and 2018, according to the medium used. In the last year of the study period, approximately 60,840 books were published in print format, representing around 74.5 percent of the total units published in the country during that year. However, compared to 2017, printed books experienced a decrease of nearly 685 units. Regarding publication in other formats, in 2018 about 8,000 fewer books were also published than the previous year.
